Super Jigga TC Promises to Bring It at Anchorage Cooler Splash this Friday

 An explosion of carnival excitement will begin in the West end of Trinidad from this coming weekend. One fete will start the fun on Friday, February 4th and it's dubbed, The Anchorage Cooler Splash. 

Since the completion of its renovation last year, the hot spot, which lies on the Anchorage Bay has seen little activity, but that will all change on February 4th when patrons will get the chance to enjoy the amazing new venue, which comes complete with top of the line amenities. Beyond the venue, the weekend jump-starter event will feature the biggest names for the Carnival season, among them Kes The Band, Karma with Ravi and Nisha B, The Millionaire Family, Benjai, Super Jigga TC, Shal Marshall, Denise Saucy Wow Belfon and a host of other top soca acts.

With coolers allowed unhindered entry before 11pm, patrons are expected to flood the venue early. This one’s guaranteed to be enjoyable and for the price of just $150- many agree, this one’s a deal that just can't be resisted.

On Friday night, nothing across the length and breadth of the island promises the carnival vibe, energy and enjoyment as the Anchorage Cooler Splash does. For this reason, the West end is expected to be abuzz with excitement from as early as 9pm and way into the wee hours of Saturday morning.

With some of the season's biggest soca tracks, Super Jigga TC has assured that this one will be one for the books. "Along with Shal, I'm gonna put on a show for that crowd- they won't know what hit them," he laughed. As one of Soca's hard hitters this season, Super Jigga TC is everywhere but on February 4th, he's guaranteeing something spectacularly different. "This one's gonna be the show they've been waiting for," he said.

The Anchorage carnival experience is one that has remained a fond memory for many. Back in the day, it was known as the Anchorage Street Party and now with one of the hottest venues to boast of, organizers are eager to welcome patrons to the inside where the best cooler splash experience is guaranteed.

Look out for a movie in 2011 from the man who has, for the past two years crawled deeper and deeper into the Soca limelight- leaving nothing to chance and leaving many stunned. 

Super Jigga TC is at it again, this time though it's the launch of the Template 3+3. In the past two years, he tiptoed feeling his way into the world of Carnival revelry and energetic stage shows. In the season ahead, Super Jigga TC will stand tall and let it be known that he is a force to be reckoned. 

The medley he currently rides is bubbling sweetly across the airwaves from island to island, and with no reason to stop or slow down, the Synergy Soca Star and Karry Yuh Key host says he's got a bag full of tricks to unleash this week. 

From Soca diva Destra Garcia to Caribbean girl Nadia Batson, Super Jigga TC will unleash tracks he's collaboratively worked on for C2K11. This Friday, the Template 3+3 will bring to the fore, six tracks, two of which are already in rotation. His hit, "Speakerbox" along with "Confidence" alongside local hip-hop duo Nebula 868 will make room for four new guaranteed hits. 

"Look At You," "Up Under Me" alongside Destra Garcia, "Sailing"- a collaboration with newcomer Jude which was written and produced by the one and only Kernel Roberts and "Do It"- a Nadia Batson penned track which was produced by Kelz, the youngest producer in the local music industry- will command the airwaves from December 10th. 

It should never come as a surprise when things uttered by this DJ/ mic man turned entertainment guru, come to reality. Last year he made it clear that he would secure his spot in the semi-finals of the International Soca Monarch competition and that he did. This year, the King of Swag says he will take the Groovy Soca Monarch title from his Soca brethren, Shurwayne Winchester. What Super Jigga TC wants, he gets. He knows about hard work and he understands the world of music- so much so that not even the concept of "Template 3+3" was left to chance. It’s a movie in 2K11 and the trailers are ending. Brand New Video + Super Swagg Makes for A Hott 2K11

In 2K10, the template was set.

An innate star quality has led Super Jigga TC on a journey of unimaginable proportions. From the islands of the Caribbean to the world at large, the one time radio personality turned Soca artiste has plastered his swag everywhere eyes can see and ears can hear.

Musically, his vibe propels him and with clear instinct, he knows when to strike. For this reason the true King of Swag is doubling up on the Template, solidifying his name and claiming his space in 2K11.

Already a monster carnival bubbler has taken its own course, directed only by radio personalities who know good music when they hear it. Together with his Synergy TV counterpart and long-time friend, Shal Marshal, Super Jigga TC is now ready to unleash a world premier…. video.

The medley that rides the Flagship riddim, which was produced by New York based GBM Productions, explosively injects fuel to the fire of the season with “Speakerbox” and Marshal’s, “ Whole Day,” at the core of the excitement. The tracks have both catapulted to every DJ’s must play list in T&T and as such, a video was only necessary.

Shot at Mobs II in Chaguaramas, Trinidad- over a five- day period by production team, Another Terrible Production, the HD quality guarantees visual perfection. “ The editing was done by Cowen Thorpe- he’s young and super-talented,” said Super Jigga TC.  The artiste also revealed that this season he’ll be working alongside a number of young people he attests to being innovative and talented- among them, 18 –year-old producer, Kelz.

In the interim however, a brand new video to round off the promotion of the Flagship medley hits Synergy TV on Tuesday, November 9 at 8:45pm. Complete with motorcycles, ladies and the King of Swag’s untamed vibe, in a setting that somewhat epitomizes the backdrop of T&T’s Carnival, Super Jigga TC and Shal Marshal are ready to take the season by storm. On the heels of the release, the video will be uploaded automatically to all main video sites for those who miss the premier. Additionally, in the pipeline are remixes to both songs and new videos that will accompany. “ We’re trying to up the game- make the thing sweet in T&T now,” said Super Jigga TC. 

Bunji Garlin: “The Best Cast Was Chosen for T&T’s Fire Fete 2010”

The anticipation is definitely on as tens of thousands prepare for the start of T&T’s carnival season. At band rooms across the island, artistes and their musicians are rehearsing- preparing for the event they know will kick start their time of year, and certainly the fete lovers’ most anticipated time too! Former Soca Monarch King, Bunji Garlin, chatting on the first big event to take place for the season said, “Soca is the music of the people and the best cast was chosen to represent the vibe of the people at Fire Fete 2010.” He added that as far as he was concerned, the cast for Fire was chosen based on each performer’s true ability. Bunji for one is certainly ready- having held on to the ‘fire man’ title, over the years. With hits this season that range from “No Borrow” to “Gaza or Gully,” and a hit collaboration with wife and band mate- Fay Ann Lyons, entitled, “Call Me,” there’s no denying that Bunji and his crew are a must-see at the annual Fire Fete. The January 9th, 2010 edition of the event moves from its traditional Wrightson Road abode, to another hot spot further down as The St. John’s Hall will be transformed into “The Land of Flames.” Already, momentum for Fire Fete is building on the street- even amid preparations for Christmas. On Facebook.com, the group- ‘ Blazing Fire Fete 2010”- has attracted a large number of eager patrons who, over the past week have received inside info on promotions and the cast for the show. Many are already loving the fact that St. John’s Hall will host Fire Fete 2010- as they know the ambience will prove party friendly. There’s so much more to come but many say and most agree that the first fete, FIRE FETE- cannot be ignored, nor can it be missed!

The Template's Set!

Super Jigga TC released yet another C2k10 track this morning- this time though, he did it exclusively on the BOOM Champions 94.1FM's Taxi Stand with AV St. Hill, Ken and Gonzo. "The Template" will not be played on any other frequency for the duration of the official release day and according to TC, this decision was made after considering the longstanding relationship he's had with the BOOM. He explained that the song was specifically geared to the 8-25 year old demographic that he's attracted over the years via his work on Synergy TV and most recently within the Soca industry.

The track has that Colin Lucas kinda feel but with its catchy lyrics, the song's almost guaranteed to blow up in the coming days. The fast melody, along with the hook, " Start Jumping Up, Start Waving Up" will undoubtedly be easy on the memory for many young fans- a trick that TC has held fast too, in recent years.

"The Template" was recorded back in August and Jigga himself explained that he now has butterflies upon facing the reality that the project was in fact, quite costly. Produced by Neil Bernard out of T&T, it comes just weeks before the release of something even bigger- a mixtape for the masses. Along with a few of the industry's notables, among them Shurwayne Winchester, Tony Matterhorn, Iwer George, Skinny Fabulous and Terri Lyons- The King Of Swag will release the mixtape, also coined, "The Template," free of charge at popular hotspots around T&T. Packaging will include a poster of the local TV star himself along with other tidbits to bring the fans running.
